Mirot is a logo design studio for small food businesses, based in Canada. This policy explains how we handle your personal information when you visit our website or work with us.

When you start your logo (intake form)

Your name, email, business name, details about your business, and any references or images you share.

When you pay

Your name, email, and billing address (country, state or province, ZIP or postal code). Card and PayPal details go directly to Stripe or PayPal. We never see or store them.

When you email us

Whatever you choose to include in your message.

When you browse our site

Basic technical data like your browser, device, pages visited, and approximate location, collected through cookies and Google Analytics.

• To design your logo and deliver your files
• To process payments and refunds
• To talk with you about your project
• To keep records required by tax and accounting law
• To understand how people use our site so we can improve it
• To show your logo in our portfolio, only if you say yes
• To share your testimonial, only if you say yes

We never sell or share your personal information with anyone for their own use. We only use a few trusted services to run the business: Stripe and PayPal to process payments, Google Analytics to understand how people find our site, and the email, form, and storage tools we use to run your project.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a new owner if Mirot is ever sold or merged, under the same protections.

Some of the services we use store data outside Canada, including in the United States. While it’s there, it’s protected by our agreements with those services, but it may be subject to the laws of that country, including access by its authorities.

If you checked the portfolio box or told us yes, we may show your logo and business name on our website and social media, but only after your business opens. We can’t pull back posts that others have already shared or saved, but we’ll stop using it ourselves.

Changed your mind? Email us and we’ll remove it from our website and accounts within 10 business days.

Project files and intake details

1 year after final delivery, so we can resend your files if you lose them

6 years, as required by Canadian tax law

After that, we securely delete it.

We use secure, reputable services, limit who can access your information, and protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, but if a breach ever puts you at real risk, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Our site uses cookies to keep things working, like secure checkout through Stripe and PayPal, and Google Analytics uses them to show us how people find our site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, like checkout, may not work without them.

You can ask us to:

• Show you the personal information we have about you
• Correct anything that’s wrong
• Delete your information (except records we must keep by law)
• Stop using your information for portfolio or testimonials

Our services are for business owners. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we make changes, we’ll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we’ll let current clients know by email.
